One of the hardest things about me being in Ireland is trying to maintain a relationship while I am gone. Most people thought I was insane for attempting a relationship when I knew I was going away. When I met Jimmy we both had the understanding that we were going to date and then end things before I left. We also has the understanding that we would start things up again when I got back, but as we kept seeing each other we both didn't want to end it. Jimmy said he wanted to wait for me and I really wanted to keep in touch with him, and even though it was going to be hard he wanted to give the long distance thing a try.
Now that I have been gone I think we have come a long way. We message each other everyday, we write hand written letters to each other every other day, and we also webcam every night and just talk. It's really hard but it is worth it. Jimmy is really a sweet guy who has a great energenic personality that is similar to my own and he makes me really happy. It kinda made me realize that people dont always come into your life at the right time, but in this case I dont mind... I just take it one day at a time and I am excited to see where things will go between us when I get back home!
